Wat Khaek (Sala Keoku) & Wat Pho Chai , Nong Khai

The developer of the park is Bunleua Sulitat. Born in 1932 in Nong Khai district, the tale goes that he fell under a cavern where he fulfilled a hermit called Keoku would certainly become his spiritual mentor (as well as later Sala Keoku).

After finishing from his instruction with Keoku, Sulitat required to sculpting and in 1958 developed his initial concrete sculpture garden in Laos (Buddha Park near Vientiane). Souritat passed away in 1996 from complications emerging from a fall from among his own sculptures. His body resides in the main structure and also his followers claim his hair .
